Different. Not Less.

God creates us in His image. (Genesis 1:27) He creates us man and woman. (Genesis 1:27) And He creates us wonderfully. (Psalm 139:14) He weaves us in our mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13) He knows every hair on our head. (Matthew 10:30; Luke 12:7)

He creates us all different, but not less. (John 9:1-3) We are all perfect in His design, but the world labels some less. God gifted us talents, and journeys to fulfill His plan, not our plan or the world’s plan. He loves us so much, He elected us to His family before creation. (Ephesians 1:5) As His children, we are in the world but not of it. We get distracted, consumed, and overwhelmed by the trappings of Satan’s lies. God gave us His Word to guide us away from his temptations, falsehoods, and desires. In obedience to Him, He protects us. We are all born sinners, but those who repent and receive His free saving grace will be free from the bondage of sin, and He grants us security in everlasting forgiveness and life.

Freedom from sin is the reconciliation to our Father, through His Son’s death and resurrection. We strive to be like Jesus but fail miserably because we brought sin into the world. Satan, the ruler of the world, is constantly tempting us through lies of money and power. Most of the world is blinded by his pleasures, but Jesus sent us a helper, the Holy Spirit, to see through his lies. Satan tries to make evil good and good evil. For example, the abortion movement has desensitized murder to essential healthcare. Abortion is seen as a treatment for pregnancy. Pregnancy is treated like a disease, not a special gift from God. People celebrate abortions. People encourage abortions. Countries celebrate eliminating disabled children through abortion. Some countries are celebrating these sick statistics as progress. Countries are celebrating euthanasia of the weakest, such as those with mental illness, the gravely ill, or the elderly. These people question God and then act as God.

We are living in a dangerous world marred by sin. We are living in a world that opposes God. We helped create this environment by not obeying the Great Commission - go out and make disciples. Protesting won’t change people. Laws won’t change people. Courts won’t change people. Money won’t change people. God changes people through His Son, Jesus. We are powerless to change anything, but we fool ourselves into thinking we can. We can’t. Jesus transforms people from the inside out. We don’t need to understand the popular world view because it is evil and opposes God’s Word. We need to stand for God’s Word without watering it down because it may offend someone. The truth is offensive to those who are reigned by perverted minds that are blinded to His truth.  (Romans 1:26-28

On May 8th, many celebrated their moms even those who support abortions. But we are living increasingly hostile environment where many, even clinicians, label abortion as essential healthcare to treat pregnancy. We live in a sick world that wants to prevent many of receiving God’s special gift of motherhood. Sadly, many mothers are pressured, deceived, and exploited into aborting children that maybe born different, but not less in God’s plan.
